Description
Our natural yarrow essential oil for cosmetics is obtained from the species Achillea millefolium. The product bears the name White Yarrow natural essential oil for cosmetics. The oil is a liquid with a faint yellow to yellow-green colour that is maintained throughout its volume. The colour originates from the above-ground stalk, on which the entire aromatic character of the finished liquid is based. The aroma of the liquid remains sharp and deep. The depth rests on a sweet herbal tone, alongside woody fullness and a light camphor nuance. The camphor nuance corresponds to the presence of camphor and borneol, identified in scientific literature among the leading volatile components of this plant species. The plant species belongs to the Asteraceae family and occurs naturally in the temperate regions of Europe, which include the Balkan Peninsula. In these regions, the herb grows as a perennial herbaceous plant with natural populations. The natural populations also extend to Bulgaria, where the raw material for our liquid comes from. The liquid acquires its pure aromatic profile through steam distillation, which is why the volatile portion of the herb reaches the finished product unchanged. The purity of the profile keeps the olfactory character close to the plant source. The raw material grows under a natural cultivation method that determines the product's entirely natural composition. The composition includes only the plant's aromatic substances and remains free from preservatives and colourants. Yarrow oil retains its liquid form and the herbal fullness of its tone.
Application
Yarrow essential oil is widely used in cosmetics for skin care. It is suitable for products intended for sensitive and allergy-prone skin, where it has a soothing effect and reduces redness and irritation. For oily and combination skin, it helps regulate sebum and tighten pores, while in products for dry and dehydrated skin it complements the moisturising and softening effects. It is included in day and night creams, serums, toners, fluids, face masks, ampoules and concentrates for intensive care, as well as in eye-contour gels. It is useful in anti-acne products and in products with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, including care for skin with rosacea. It is included in the composition of cleansing foams, micellar waters, natural soaps and facial lotions, as well as cosmetic milks, sprays and lip balms. In products for mature skin, it contributes to smoothing fine lines, an even and fresh complexion and the reduction of pigmentation spots, while its antioxidant properties make it suitable for rejuvenating ranges. It is used in after-sun balms, in products for soothing the skin after shaving and in care after peeling or professional procedures. It also scents skin oils and adds a delicate herbal note to elixirs and products for daily use, used both at home and in professional practice.
Storage
Store natural yarrow essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging and, as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder to a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for cosmetic products, preferably dark glass, which protect the essential oil for cosmetics from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and moisture from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
